Gem Mining

I bot at the Shilo Village gems to make lots of money. And if you wear a glory, you mine a gem MUCH faster. I could mine gems faster than a 99 miner without a glory, than when I'm wearing a glory.

This makes it much simpler, because of how crowded the gems are (almost always 1 person on each world there).

So I logged on, and there was a level 3 here with a mining cape, and it's quite obvious that he's botting aswell (been on for hours mining here, going to same spaces, etc). Too bad he's not wearing a glory, so he's getting no gems until I'm banking! :laugh:

I just thought that was funny. The poor guy will wake up tomorrow thinking he's rich, and then come to his bank only to find almost no gems.

 

I never knew wearing a Glory Amulet would effect your chances of getting gems. It is a pretty good way to earn cash though. Thanks for the share.

 

wearing a glory only effects finding gems in ORE BASED ROCKS, copper, iron, coal etc. read it next time you charge it.

Having 75 dung gives you 6-8 more gem rocks+imps. Jagex helped botting a lot with this new update.

 

Nah, glories help with gem rocks too.

 

Anybody that can prove that glories help with gem rocks?

 

I used to mine gems when they were merched in april. It made me over 1.7m/hr on my main, now - I prefer green drags =)

EDIT: yes, glories help with gem mining, taked from runescape wiki:

"If the Amulet of glory has any charges, wearing it while Mining will increase the chances of finding gems. Wearing it when mining the Shilo Village gem rocks will also increase the speed at which gems are mined."

Actually you are wrong. Wearing a Glory greatly improves the chances of mining a gem in general. It does infact speed up Gem mining a considerable amount 100% of the time.
