GE Update Frequency

Anyone know on average how long it takes for the GE to update? Has anyone ever actually done some statistical analysis on this?

Going to be doing my own since it doesnt seem like it, ill calculate the average every 10 updates or so.

5:40 AM 05oct

9:14 AM 06oct (15.5 hours)

1:10 pm 07oct (28 hours)

9:45 AM 08oct (20.5 hours)

10 PM 09oct (36 hours)

 

i belive its random from 20-28 hour periods

 

ya it varies from update to update, however I am just curious as to if anyone has ever gotten any specific data and tracked how long it updates on average over a period of time.

thats what I have heard as well. I been making note of it though for the past 4-5 updates, think ill keep a log and get some actual hard data on it ; )

 

I have tryed Sniping Items At 12AM By 12 PM They were updated.

So I have seen it been done in less then 12 Hours.

 

If you go to http://www.geupdate.com/ and scroll down a bit and look at the side bar on the left hand side, it shows the last five updates. However note this: I used to track the ge updates often camping outside ge for the merch clans I was ranked in and I found that you cannot find a pattern of when ge updates. It is COMPLETELY random. Ge updates a maximum of twice every 24 hours (two updates within 24 hours, normally within 6, is actually pretty common). Sometimes it will update once in 36 hours. Sometimes once in 18 hours.

What I am trying to say is that there is no way to tell when ge updates, even if you analysed it over a period of a large number of months.

Not really looking to be able to predict when the GE will update, as I dont really do much sniping. Just more looking to find statistical proof of the average update time for making long term merch item predictions and time/profit ratios ; )

 

That's easy. Average update time ranges between 18 hours to around 32 hours. Use geupdate.com and check that yourself.

 

Ya I use that to check when the update occurred. But It will take prob a month or so of averaging out each to get a good grasp on how long, over a wide range of updates, it takes per update.

 

I think the minimum amount of time between updates is 13 hours, no? Maximum 28 hours.

 

Minimum I think is at least 12, max I believe is 32.

Its GE update predictor is WAYY off.

 

The GE updates once every GMT-day (this means in theory there could be anywhere from 2 seconds to 47h 59 mins 58 secs in between 2 updates), although there's a popular belief that its restricted to 8-42h

 

From personal experience, on average the GE updates anywhere from 1 to 2 days.

 

20-22hrs is the average. i think.
