Games Resolution problem Help

I was playing portal and since im dual screen i wanted to test out screen resolution.

I randomly tried 4:3 and it fucked the game entirely i cant see anything and now it just doesnt work anymore. How can i change Screenresolution w/o being in the game?

 

I haven't played Portal yet, but it has a launcher, right?

I just read about that for steam that i can do some shortcut for doing it i needed to Create shortcut now im trying with portal 2 and i dont find the Launch option or Target.


My problem finally is i dont know where steam put portal 2.exe

 

Check MyDocuments and see if you have the configuration files. Most games tend to have them. If you have any previous experience editing cfg files, it should be easy for you.

 

Not sure if this will work, but..

Create a shortcut on the desktop - right click it and press properties - on the path location, add '-w' to the end of it. Hopefully it will launch in windows mode and it may work..

Ive found it , it was hidden in few folders had to go

Computer/C:/Prog files/steam2/stemapss/common/portal2 to find the .exe then i used the tips in the url u gave me.
