Gambling Section

I think this would be a great section for the ideal purpose of advertising and organizing certain events. One example I could think of is in game gambling, such as Hot/Cold or Irc Dicing. This would also be very beneficial for those who would like to participate in certain RSGP buy-in games. I believe a section like this would attract a different variety of people to the site, allowing Sythe to progress more and more. As well as providing leisure activities for the average Sythe user none the less. I'd like to see everyone's opinion on this and see where it goes.

 

It's been suggest before, the answer was no.
Gambling would be a gateway to scamming, I constantly see people in IRC losing hundreds of millions of rsgp and they result to borrowing money off people. They pay it back, but for the less trusted members of Sythe and the younger members who possibly have less self control may become addicted to gambling (like a few people I know) and end up scamming someone for extra cash.

That's my opinion anyway.

If you want to get involved with RSGP gambling (which it sounds like you do), just wander over to the RuneScape 2 Mini Games & PKing section. There are tons of advertised dice clans, flower clans, etc. as well as people hosting gambling threads for other games like Runelink, Connect 4 etc.

If you head over to the sports section, I believe there are some gambling threads if you like to bet on sports games as well. Most of what you are suggesting is already readily available here

 

I've said this before, I just don't think that it would be an active section, at least right now, that is. If there's a lot of popularity originating from gambling threads in the future, then I guess it could be considered then. And, I just don't mean two or three popular threads like the one Pockets has, but a bunch of them so that it could actually warrant it's own section. But, for now, I don't think there is enough activity that can constitute a section.

 

I have already suggested gambling section, for poker, betting etc. The answer was no.
