Free MMing

There should be some kind of criteria one must meet to make a free middleman thread, in my opinion. Like maybe 50+ vouches or something. I know that people can choose who they want to use, and if they want to use someone with 10 vouches, good for them, but when people with like 20 or even 10 vouches put up a free MM thread, and they keep bumping it, it bumps the other middlemanning threads for legit middlemen down lower. I know this because it happened to my thread many times.

Just an idea.

 

Pretty sure this is in the DNS list. In short the reason why not is because it would be unfair to people starting off. If no one uses them due to their low amount of vouches, then no one uses them. I tried suggesting something similar to this for skilling too, haha, but of course it didn't work >.^

 

Simple no. Just use MMs you trust.

No support, its up to you to trust a member or not. + What if someone wants to start the OMM Application early on in his Sythe Membership...

I 50/50 support this.
In a way, people arnt dumb enough to use a 1 post count member who just joined. Because the whole point of a middle man is for them to be trusted.

But i always cringe when i see some september joiner offer Account training, questing, MM'ing, skilling, mini game services.
They think that they're special because they offer MM'ing for free, but basically every UMM is free.

I started MMing with a little over 10 vouches, and over time my vouches through MMing increased exponentially.

Placing restrictions on the marketplace is something Sythe doesn't endorse at all to begin with. Notwithstanding that, it is up to the prospective traders to select an MM suitable to their needs. It takes NO time whatsoever to find a free MM with a decent amount of vouches so the point that it 'bumps' the 'trusted' MMs down isn't really strong as should all trusted MMs be bumped past page one, it's not an arduous task to click 'Next Page'.

Moreover, you would have a case if there were 5+ pages worth of spam MM threads. At present there is not, and thus, no additional rules need be implemented as it would ultimately harm the site by not allowing people to start somewhere, and thus revoking ones potential to flourish.

 

No support, if someone wants to try, let them try. If you don't trust someone, don't use them as a middleman, simple as that.

 

Don't agree. Everyone DOES need to start somewhere. Even though now a days 99.9% of them are scammers..
