Atm it is just uncommon I think, but it will be moved to 'rare' on the wheel over the summer, after of which it will be discontinued.

It will be a 'rare' according to the FAQ about this.

But it's true. They make an update, and on the log in screen they say the fish mask can be obtained from SoF and even is tradeable. It screams selling gold by RS all over.

The mask started at 15M. Buy 75 spins, and getting 3 would have been enough. Not to mention you get 60 other spins where you can probably win rare items, exp lamps etc.

People will hoard it, hoping it would become a rare like the partyhat. But there will be way too much in the game before anyone realizes the bad investment.

 

Not to mention it is ugly as fuck compared to the other discontinued wearables

You think it is more aesthetic than party hats, santas, masks and bunny ears? Why would it rise when mass amounts are going to be entering the game and new ones will later as well

 

Nah I highly doubt it will be worth a huge amount maybe 10m tops in the future. TBH Jagex is ruining the community theres to much gold now a days I remember back in the day when 10m was A huge amount of money now 10m is like a 5 dollar bill. Cmon Jagex quit being retarded.. just sayin

 

You sold for 5.7m? I heard people are selling those fish masks for 10m. I heard by the end of Summer 2012 the Fish Hats will be discontinued.

 

Yeah, people are overlooking the fact that there will be a much bigger supply more than likely. Just see how many people will get it as uncommon(?) during this Squeal of Neptune thing, then throughout the summer when it becomes a rare reward on the squeal. After that it will be discontinued but, despite it becoming tough to acquire for the majority of summer, just think how many will have come into the game throughout those months.

 

And to think Jagex wouldn't create anymore tradable rares.

OT: I am fairly positive that I was the first few players who won a Fish mask right after the update.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

I don't see these becoming much of a rare in my opinion.

But with today's economy, you never know particularly at the end of the year.

 

They've gone back on so much, as of late especially; wouldn't be surprised if untradeable rares become tradeable soon enough.

 

So we will have one more rare item. I am guessing that players will spam buy lots of spins just to lay their hands on one.
