First ever sig!

Please rate it out of 10 and give me some feedback!

That's it. It took me about an hour maybe 1.5 hours and was the first ever sig I've made .

 

It's pretty good overall. If you want to learn more there is only one way mate; practise and more practise. That's the only way to learn.

 

Actually very good for a start!
try and make it less blurry, don't really like that effect on any signatures.
I like the lense flare, but try and make it stand out a bit more, since it's the core of your work.

Keep it up man, show us some more!

Too much green for me. Not a fan of the font either, but not bad for your first try. Experiment with things that you've never used before.

OT: You over did the Gaussian blur. You even had the blur on top of the flare, bad idea. Never blur the focal point of an image. If there is a background to it, blur that to give it more depth, otherwise it looks stupid. It's your first sig so it isn't that bad. Look up some more tutorials on youtube, deviant art, and watch speed arts to gain more knowledge.

Very cool effect in the middle between "vouches" and "skype". That's a really attractive design. The letters are blurred, intentionally I think, and it's hard to look at when coupled with the bright green.

I like the simplistic nature of the design though. Keep it up

 

Mmmm, I'd have to say it's a pretty good signature for your first signature, so I'd probably vote it a 6 or 7! Keep trying and you will just keep getting better and better! Good job and Goodluck!

 

Thanks all for the feedback! I've been watching a lot of speed arts and am probably going to make another sig tomorrow or friday. Although, if anyone can recommend good videos or tutorials to watch, please do!

OT: yeah keep going with your simple style, if i was you try out illustrator. i wish that i knew that program a bit better, and started with it rather than photoshop.

It's a little blurry. I'm not sure if you could do it without it affecting other portions of the signature in a negative way but have you tried sharpening the image?

Otherwise I like it - clean and simple.

 

Better than my first sigs were.

Keep messing about and playing with different things, read up on a couple guides and just expand what you know.

 

Yea i was like wtf time to get my eyes checked , i'd rate it 7/10 if blurr was gone.
