Finally quit runescape!

Well, after almost 4 years I have FINALLY quit RuneScape. I did not get banned, I did not die and lose everything, I just quit. It literally got so bored that I was just teleporting to random places trying to find something to do and then I realized it was time to quit. Don't flame me or call me a pixel hugger because I played Runescape responsibly until this year, which is when I realized I had gotten out of control.
Runescape is fun, but when you stop doing things you would normally do in real life just to play it, it's just sad. So here is my story about my Runescape experience:
Well when I first started, and this was like in 2002 - 2003, I made my account (zlools) and then made my character because my friends at school played it. However none of us knew what to do on the tutorial, we just randomly clicked on the continue message. Finally I figured it out and then I was in lumby. As soon as I got there I went to alkarid gate (my brightness was set to 0) and I was on low detail, so I looked around and everything was dark, so I thought I would die if I went anywhere and I might lost my "stuff". So I spend the next few days in lumby castle, at the room with the spinning wheel and then sat there killing men + women and picking up the bronze dagger that spawned and sold it to the shop to get like 4k. Then I met this guy who said he would sell me a cape (which I REALLLY WANTED), so he lured me into the wildy (didn't know it at the time) and asked for my iron scimmy so he could defend himself and I gave it to him, so he killed me with my own weapon. COOL! So I quit for about a year because of personal issues, then started up again. When I was level 58 I logged in and my friend, monsterosty6, asked me if I wanted a free members account, I'm like "SURE BUT IM NOT GIVING YOU MY PASS!", and he gave me his account. I played on his account for about 6 months, and made about 20 mil. Then he recovered it one day...September 10, 2005. So I quit for 3 months after that, it wasn't worth playing. Then my friend got me back into it again and I started playing back on zlools. Almost everything after that that is worth seeing is listed in the video. I eventually got all of the quests done, got my money back, and got that account (monsterosty6) banned because I autoed on it . Then I started to pk, and got owned, so I made a pure.
My pure was..OK, but the main problem was I didn't know how to pk. I spent 4 days and about 1 mil (which was A LOT to me at the time) and got 60 mage, went into the wildy and got owned. So then I quit again in September 2006. Then I started up in November because my good friend said he would give me free membership, and he really did (I was careful about it). So then I started to play again, and everything from there can be found throughout my youtube profile. I eventually started up on my pure again, got 70 str and pked about 6 mil, then made about 4mil off my luring guide that I sold on this site. Then I started to pk on my main and pked about 20-30mil in a month. Now I have EVERYTHING i've always wanted, and I have quit today. I'm happy I finally broke the habit, but I'm sad. It feels like a part of me is missing.

Runescape is like heroin you will be back, anyways if you did truly kick it, Congrats!

May I advise you on what will keep you from logging in, get your account(s) change passwords to random crap that you could never remember then change recovery questions.

I pretty much quit as well never log on anymore =\ I just stay active on sythe.

 

Eww..Run, Escape? Among the shitty graphics, horrible chat system and poor battle system, I got lost in it and wasted a lot of this year...once I found another game that wasn't as addicting and started playing it more than RS, RS just seemed too shitty for me. I realized that the only reason I played RS was to be better than everyone else and look down on them >_> RS does evil things to you.

Well i did the same thing.. in a way

Me and my friend in real life were sharing my 110 main and my pure(i lved both accounts)
he had a lv 93 so i knew he knew what he was doing.
he paid for members and we got mask set and 30m in a little over a month.he scmed the account but lucky me i had 6m on my pure.I started lvling my pure and aanother firend in real life asked if i was going to give up now that ide lost so much.I didnt even 2nd guess it and now im pretty much done.I get on maybe once a week to pk\talk to my buds but ill be permanatly quiting soon.


real life is alot better then this game\any game. go out. party.meet some girls.GET A LIFE. trust me.. its better .Hope you all take my advice
