Few suggestions

As i browse through the forums, I ALWAYS see these posts/threads.

My first suggestion is to block out some derogatory/ racial slurs, such as 'nigger' or 'faggot'. These are the most common words I see

My next suggestion is to ban people who ask these types of threads: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1126324

They're basically asking how to ddos, or have the intentions on how to ddos. Ddosing is not only against our rules, but illegal.

I'll add more later on.

 

When people use the terms "nigger" and "faggot", they don't necessarily go by definition.

And why the fuck do you feel "highly offended" on behalf of other people?

 

Why do i feel offended? what if you were an african american and someone kept saying NIGGER, or if you were homosexual and people kept saying FAGGOT? Should you be treated that way?
I don't care if they don't go by definition, i still find it wrong.

 

We're not going to completely censor certain words from the forum. We do however punish users who use them offensively.

 

For the first suggestion, I will have to agree with JstarD.

For the second one, he could just be curious. It's a bit hasty to always assume the worst of others all the time.

Imo it should be against the rules to post a youtube video that has a download link in the description. People who are doing it and asking things like "is it legit?" are two faced faggots looking to spread their shitty key logger to sythe users

 

When I say nigger, it's usually as ajoke and not intended to "harm" anyone
If someone takes offense when I call them or anyone else a nigger.
They can report the post.
Done, and dealt with.

Now for the other part, report the post.
A mod will delete it, as well as the link.

Freedom of speech.. I can gladly say Nigger, but if it's used out of tense or is used towards someone the individual (my self in this case) would be infracted for it. It's the internets.

As for DDoSing, report it.. It's already against the rules, simply report the case. Moderators will look further into it.

Ok well Im black and i have never been offended by the word nigger, like for real, its just a word, I actually dont know anyone who has been offended by that word. Also when people say faggot they are 99% of the time not referring to gay people so if someone says they are offended by that its 100% BULLL!!

I believe that the second thing that you suggested is already in place. Every time I have reported for similar posts and threads, I have gone back to look at the report and the user has been banned. So as long as it gets reported I think that in most cases the moderator will ban the user.

As for your first suggestion I am not sure I support it. I have hardly seen these phrases much at all, occasionally they will pop-up in the spam forum, however not so much other than that. Most people know that when they do chose to use these terms outside of the spam forum they will probably be infracted or possibly banned. I don't think they need to be blocked out because every context I have seen them used in it is not related to the literal meaning of the words. People use it to call people stupid, idiots, retards, etc. This is the feeling I get. It is almost always flaming when it happens, and when it gets reported, the user usually gets infracted and post deleted (I believe so).

I perfer nigga over nigger, even though "er" is politically correct, though I believe some people can reduce it. Some people over say it when they rage. I think the spam forum is okay, but in the SFA or any other is just harassment, tbh.
