Sure, the pixelation for the Java coding is one of the best in the fields. But the game is shit, it could be done so much better in another language. Not to mention the administrators of the game didn't take precautionary measures when first starting the game to ensure its safety, and allowance for growing.

The updates are purely retarded, and the only time they release something good is when they destroy something better. They fail to maintain it correctly, as well as actually keep old players interested. They target a young audience completely and don't allow any room for growth.

The game play and idea overall is a rip from several other games/stories which may be historically correct in some areas, but actually askew many facts in history.

The game itself is boring and tedious, the only interesting idea behind it is advancement. There's no end, so you can't beat it, which makes it the only game which has no purpose except for dominating the score board (which takes us back to the days of atari).

Overall RuneScape is a fail game. It has its aspects, but the negatives are far greater than the positives.

It does give birth to sites like Sythe, but unfortunately it gives birth to people who feel cheating is the only way to play. It also allows for mass addiction in young people. It's just as unhealthy as drugs because it kills your mind (maybe not your body, but addiction is proven to be bad for you).

Anyways, the game sucks. Don't try and dispute that, because there's several points on the good side, but infinite bad points.
