What you guys think of Facebook
I personally got no Facebook,since im not interested in what people eating for dinner.I don´t need to know that had a shower few mins ago.
Also people stalking in Facebook for hours.
I just like trading their real life for Facebook life.

 

If you don't have a FB, your a loser irl. Nuff said.

 

I'm not a huge fan of Facebook, but I use it.

I use it to much it takes away from me studying etc.. but so does everything on a computer.

anyways....I have a facebook, don't use it that much but I had to get one...all my friends have one and my gf uses it...I basically was forced to get one...

 

I agree to some extend. Every social person around has a facebook so if you don't have one, I'm going to assume you aren't very social.

I wouldn't say that, just don't feel the need to live on the internet. I enjoy my privacy, and not having everything I say documented, with a stamp to my name on it. There is a reason people lose their jobs over it, and without one you have nothing to worry about, or watch what you say but sometimes it's unavoidable to an extent.

Assuming someone is not social or a loser is pretty biased wouldn't you think? I mean after all half the people most have on their facebook they don't even talk to. It's just another way humans are becoming more controlled by a synthetic environment. Granted I know everyone is not this way with facebook, but a lot of people are. Bravo to the people who can controll the urge to be on 24/7.

Not having a facebook does not make you a loser, but thinking it has some affect on what your social status actually is, does. ^_^

 

I don't feel strongly about it, you should have added in an "indifferent" option, but I guess I lean slightly towards "hate it" every day. It does nothing but instigate and cause drama. Plus its updates are really really really really buggy and ugly

 

Only using it to chat. And keeping it small. <50 contacts.

And its really a buggy piece of shit imo.

 

I like it, i don't post statuses or anything like that, i just use it to talk to friends through the chat thing or to see what partys are going on lol

 

although facebook has negatives to it. Such as you being able to be "tracked" to an extend using it...it also has good things, shortly after I created my account I was contacted by my dad who I hadn't seen in 21 years (since I was two) I now live near him and see him a lot, along with getting to meet the rest of my family and 3 half brothers...facebook is a part of life and you can choose to use it or not...or you can do what I do and only check it once a month xD

 

That's why I said to an extend. That's how it is around here, but idk about other places such as where you might be from.

 

I like it in how you can use it to find the person just by its full name, how you can easily find your friends, contact them. But there are some disadvantages about it, most of you already know about them.

 

I don't love nor hate it, you need to add more options to the poll.

Easily find friends/people you've met. Easily communicate with people that you wouldn't be able to otherwise ( Say you forgot what the homework was in a certain class, message a classmate that you don't have the phone # of ).

There really isn't a con about it, unless your in highschool with a bunch of drama queens who are keyboard warriors. For all the people whining about how they don't want their information all over the place, then don't put it on facebook. That simple.

 

The stupid shit people say, how is it social typing something and pressing the "post" button, why would i ask how someones doing or what they're up to over face book when i can go see them or give them a call?
The only purpose it would serve for me is speaking to friends that have moved and you cant see anymore or finding old friends you've lost contact with.

EDIT: So its cool i can sit at home all day all weekend as long as i log onto face book, thats very social.

 

I'd rather be outside, than posting pointless status updates... and liking every god damn fucking picture I see.

I come online once in a while to catch up, but other than that, it's a pile of crap.

Tbh my logic is, if I don't get something out of it, why do it.

Facebook = Pointless status updates from people you don't give a shit about.

 

I dont love or hate it, just sorta middle road with it.

 

I hate it, I have my reasons but I dont think I should be sharing tham on Sythe.
