Essence Question

I used to play Runescape a lot but quit because it got really boring. Now I'm back and have a question about Rune Essence.
There is a 7 day free Membership offer, would it be a good idea to get that and mine Pure Essence at only 30 mining or wait until about 40?

 

It shouldn't really make a difference. You only have 7 days, and you can't do much. Go ahead and just mine Pure Essence at 30 Mining.

 

What price are they at right now?
Just wanting to do 7 days of mining to make a little money so paying for membership isn't a total waste of time.

Why waste your membership on mining pure essence? Explore members.

 

For the 7 days free mem, you have to attach a credit card to it. Just explore a bit, see what you want to do, and then plan for when you get a month long membership.

 

Members would not really be new to me, I've explored it before. Just thought that pure ess would be a good way to make money

Tenko is right. You should get 41 and buy a rune pickaxe before getting membs. It will be much faster.

he's mining p ess, for a week. a d pick won't give him that much more profit. and making a few M on f2p before hand will take too long.

OT: I would just go iron ore untill 41 f2p then go p2p Ess it. Because rune pick will help alot

 

A little less than a year isn't ages, especially considering the fact I just started playing again last week after a 2 year break...

You gotta put in a credit card number to get the 7 days but if you are gonna do that you might as well mine pure ess if thats what you wanna do.

 

It shouldn't make a difference, the ores are 1 hit anyway and come at a constant rate. Unless you're concerned about rising/falling prices of the ore, its up to you. No one can say for sure how high/low the ore will be when you're 40 mining.

You could just mine the ores, and save them until they reach your desired price, then get a membership and sell.
