Funeral Diner is amazing, listening to the underdark and difference of potential records takes you on an epic journey of build ups and low points with amazingly tight drumming. Are you seriously mentally retarted? Laiho is far from average, in fact give me an example OF ANY mainstream guitarist that you could honestly compare to the amazing solos and riffs produced by Laiho.

Why exactly are keyboards lame? Because they add another dimesnional musical element to many bands?

 

Laiho is extremely average, he plays the exact same shit in the vein of Yngwie Malmsteen etc. which is repetitive rip offs of classical music like Bach and Paganini. Children Of Bodom is extremely boring and the keyboard/synth is way too overused in their music and I am in no means calling keyboards lame... listen to the fuckin Doors thats where keyboard is used well.

Orchid is by far my favorite emo/hardcore band.

I was a member here back in 05, i haven't played RS since 2006 or something but i was bored one day and decided to check this place out again and talk about music, but kids here dont have the same interests they did back in the day i guess..

Orchid is amazing, have you heard Bucket Full Of Teeth? Brad Wallaces most recent band, members of orchid, sooo good. Probably one of the most experimental screamo bands i have heard.

Average as opposed to present day MTV mainstream guitarists? I think not, his style may have derrived from influences such as those you've listed but I assure you Laiho's creativity is one of a kind. He is much more creative and technical than those mainstream guitarists.

As for keyboard/synth over usage, I personally believe thats strictly a matter of opinion.
