Elaborate scam!

I was purchasing some RS3 GP from what I thought to be someone from www.planetsgold.com

I tried to pay via PayPal, and he even requested money from me, however, PayPal would not let me complete the transaction.

He came up with the idea to pay through www.lootmarket.com which has a connection to steam. A $100 deposit was made to that account.

In this case, what seems to be most troubling is Julia's/rsmalls involvement?

 

First and foremost, that Skype definitely doesn't match anyone from Sythe, the issue is certainly the PayPal being used is linked to RSMalls.

While that is indeed RSMalls PayPal, it appears what has happened is you've been scammed by a third party. Essentially, the third party buys gold from RSMalls, and then they ask you to send the money to RSMalls paypal so you essentially buy the gold for them.

I've reviewed the IP from the persons Skype, and it appears that all their accounts on Sythe have been banned. I'm very sorry for your loss, however yeah, you've been done by a scammer, not RSMalls.
