Economy - Downed?

Those are my thoughts and everyone else who didn't have any Climbing Boots, aha.

 

This is so interested why Jagex did this, it really raises the question was the RuneScape economy so low jagex did this? Or is it just another monkey jagex moderator making another stupid decision. Grats on all those pkers who always kept like 1k c boots in their bank.

lol do you even know how much gold is pumped into the "runecape economy" with PVP/BH? Imagine that to what climbing boots pumped in, I mean be realistic do you really think somebody would have more then 10k boots? People are just QQ'ing and making up shit about the economy because they didnt get boots so they didnt get any profit. Just STFU and keep botting.

Jagex has said 8 to 10 times more cash enters the game through other means of things than this, it's only going to be a big deal because people are making it a big deal.

 

The reason it's a big deal isn't only because of inflation, it's because the update is pointless and makes a select few extremely rich for doing nothing. This is one of the worst update ever made beside the trade updates in 2007.

 

A few people get rich for doing nothing, it has no effect on you, it shouldn't matter.

 

A few people might be an understatement...

So if you buy them for 75k and alch for 45k where is money entering? I'm lost. Also, how is it going to crash the economy when You can hardly sell the 1000's of boots you may have in your bank? Sure you could alch them all and get a lot of money, but not everyone will and even if they did that money will disappear with summoning, herby, smithing, etc.

Everyone who didnt have boots right now is like "FUCK YOU JAGEX" but wishes they had even a few like ME!

 

People originally bought the boots for 200 gp or whatever, then they alch them, thus creating money (Since alching generates money) I don't see how you're confused about it.

 

The economy won't fall. It's fine. Only thing that pisses me off is that a lot of players made a ton of money for nothing. But oh well, nothing I can do about it.

 

They dont even need to alch them, you could (Dont know if you still can) sell them in bulks of 100 to the tanzig guy.

EDIT: Also, all I can say is keep your rares, GWD items and supplies for expensive skills. Prices are gunna go through the roof, not only because of the extra gp being brought in, but because of summer.

 

What if these crash to below 45K? Couldn't you buy loads of the boots in bulk, then sell them to Tanzig, or do you think Jagex will intervene and drop his pricing according to the boots' price?
