Duping on private servers?

Ok on a private server called Dodian (its up 24/7 and it has a real economcy), some certain people have been able to dupe items. You cant use ::item ::setitem ::crackme ::crackers or any commands like that. Also, cheat clients dont work and you cant drop any items so they must be doing something else.

Does anyone know what they are doing?


P.S Am i right in thinking that they are using something to intercept packets between their client and the server? I tried it using WPE Pro but record packets and play them back..but nothing happened. Please someone help me its driving me crazy trying to figure out how to do this, because i really really want to be able to.

I know!! Someone named "The Rogue" posted it on RSU. All credits go to him and his friend who found it out. Heres what he wrote:

First off, I found this out, and I did not leech this from any other site. Half the credits go to my rl friend lordofflames666.

One day, me and lordofflames were just ****ing around, and testing out moparscape in a server. We were bored, and just trying to find glitches. What we were mostly playing around with, was scamming and duping in the trade screen. We found a number of glitches with trading.

Glitch 1 - Scamming
This glitch we found out first. It is a way of taking items out of the trade on the 2nd accept screen. Ok, heres how you do it.
Lets say you are buying a blue phat for like 2 bil. On the first accept screen, wait til they offer the phat, then, quickly offer up the 2bil, hit accept, and right click on the cash.
Next, wait until the other player accepts on the first. Now, you are on the 2nd, and you still have the: Remove 1, Remove 5, Remove 10, Remove X, Remove All Options next to your mouse. Click on Remove All, and the party hat will appear in your inventory, but won't disappear off the 2nd accept screen. It will say that you are trading 2,000,000,000 gold for 1 blue partyhat. But really, the trade is nothing for the blue party hat. Ok, after you click remove all, and the phat is in ur inventory, click accept on the 2nd screen. When the other player accepts, you will have a blue phat. and 2 bil in ur inventory. He will have niether =p.

Glitch 2 - Duping
Ok, to do this, get one of your buddies to come to the server you are playing on. Once you are logged in on the same server, and the same place, its time to dupe. Ok, pick the item you want to dupe, lets say a santa hat. Note it, and one of you starts with it. Lets say your friend starts with it. You go into the trade screen, and he offers up the santa hat noted. He clicks accept on the first screen. Then, you hit accept also on the first. This is the tricky part, now, as soon as you get on the 2nd, he clicks accept as fast as he can. You, VERY QUICKLY(may I stress this, or it wont work), Click accept, then hit decline. Since you did it so quickly, moparscape registers you accepted it, and moparscape also registered that you declined it. So, since it thinks you both accepted, it gives you the santa hat. But, since it also thinks you declined, it also gave you friend back the santa hat. Now, you got 2 santa hats!! Give your santa hat back to him, so he now has 2 noted santas. Then do the glitch again, and again!! You get so many santas!! 2 4 8 16 32 64 128 256 512...It goes so fast.

I've tried to intercept packets before. I always get banned.

 

Some private servers are enabled with cheats, type in something and make pixel items appear like magic...

can anyone olink me or give me a quick explaination on the point of playing private servers? I mean you may be able to cheat but thats all well kinda stupid if you cant get the items onto the actual runescape.com server

lol i duped to max items on darkscape.
i made myself an auto duper... works every time

 

the dupe one where you click accept and decline works fine.. takes a few tries though.

 

it only takes me one try since i use an auto duper.
i can sell it to anyone if you want.
it is for scar.

 

I found out a way similar ot using ::setitem then smithing the items,set an item in your inv to a phat or cracker or w/e,if you can "use item" with someone on the server to give items then use the item on a friend on a silab client,your item will not disapear because it is "fake" but the actual item will apear in your friend's inventory.

 

On a server i play i found out a way a lonnnng time back, here it is;-

1.Open up TWO moparscape (or whateva client you use)
2. On BOTH of them, write your username and password, DONT LOG IN
3. Have them beside eachother so you can see both 'log in' buttons (1 form ea client)

4. THEN QUICKLY CLICK LOG IN ON BOTH@!@!@

5. there will then be 2 copies of your account logged in.
6. trade the items over, then log out on the account u gave the items AWAY form, then log out on the account that contains the duped items.
