Great acting from Ryan Gosling and catchy soundtrack.

I heard it was one of the best movies of the year, I really wanted to see it, I can't wait until it comes out on DVD.

One of the best films of the decade. I love it even more knowing that the OP was confused/mislead, it had such poor marketing. Nicolas Winding Refn is one of the up and coming auteurs for our generation, with the Pusher trilogy, Bronson, Valhalla Rising, and now Drive under his belt- ill be following him very, very closely.

The soundtrack for Drive, like all Refn films was close to perfect. Gosling did so well portraying his gentle but ferocious character. Such subtlety and reservation in his eyes, i love the ambiguous past he has and the uncertainty of where he drifts off to next. This film is a prime example of how violence should be utilized for maximum impact- without it being redundant and in bad taste.

What was the movie even about? I only got a vague concept of it from commercials/stories from people.
