Dragonfire Shield

If I don't activate the dragon breathe will I need to charge my shield?

If so you need to get the charges up to 50 for max stats on the shield.

I don't know exactly but, I never used the "shield special" and I looked a day after I had fully charged it and it was at 0 charges.

yes, you will need to charge it, each time a dragon breathes fire onto it, it gains 1 charge.

never loses charges unless you unleash a fire shot or vent it to remove all charges

the best spot to charge is the room in chaos tunnels with 2 bronze dragons
just stand back, drink an antifire potion, they will both use fire every attack if out of melee range, so it will charge very fast

 

Yeh go to dragons and let them breathe fire on you (with shield equipped) if you do slayer just wait till you get dragons, that's what I did.

 

Is it possible to use the special in PVP?

 

yes you can but there is a 2 min delay from each special so yer

 

A shield never loses its charges unless you use its special. It wont lose charges even if u leave it in the bank for 5 years.

 

Rofl i remember when i first bought dfs Didn't know it have some kind of charges untill i went to task in metals
Dfs really sucks without charges, even rune kite is better than uncharged dfs.

Defentley charge it at steals or irons make sure to antifire pot, it'll be charged in no time.
