So most of us know whats up.

His MSN was hacked.
A kid got scammed because he didn't ask for a PM.
Bans start getting dished out.

Okay, so the account which was lost in this whole ordeal was originally bought for $40 and was going to be sold for over $100.
What it was going to be sold for is irrelevant, if the scammer offered $1000 for his account, its not practical to ask to pay it back.

So here's what I'm thinking, 'DJ' pays the $40 and shows a clean virus/spyware scan of his computer and he gets unbanned?

I know at least three people, myself included, that will contribute towards the $40. So if a staff member sees this, do you think this is fair, that if he meets these standards, we're good to go? If so, where do we send the money?

Oh, and I'm pretty sure this thread is in the right section, seeing as DJ can take a large chunk of the credit for the success of the Xbox section of the forum.

 

The $40.00 wouldn't be enough. He got a good deal on the account, and could be easily resold for more then just $40.00.

 

It's the only price to go by, unfortunately.
That's what he got the account for, so that's what he should be repaid.
I know it sucks, but this whole situation sucks.
In order for a peaceful solution, everyone is going to have to open up a little.

This is ridiculous, everyone knows that DJ doesn't scam and we should all work to get him back unbanned.

 

The "kid" you're talking about is Brandon. According to Brandon, DJ Weasel claimed he was hacked after he scammed him. Who knows, though.

You think he'd throw it all away for a $40 RS account?
He doesn't even play RS.
He's spend more donating to sythe than the account is worth.

 

It was a WoW account, and you count it as the sell price ($100). Either way, I'll ask Brandon again about it.

 

This isn't the first time I've heard about DJW scamming.

Anyone who doesn't see the flaws in this whole thing is utterly illicit and I strongly encourage you to do a bit more research.

It's not just coincidence that DJW would claim to have his MSN hacked so close to when the scam report was filled. Even if it was 5 minutes before. Based on his past history, I have a hard time believing that.

Also, you use his sythe status to glorify his credibility. Take a look at people who have been banned in the past (See: Fatih). You can't use that to justify his innocence.

Jake isn't the type of person that would scam one of his friends (Brandon). Obviously, if you have intentions on scamming, you're going to avoid encouraging someone to request a PM.

Ok, his Sythe status justifies his glory, and he has done so much for the community. So has Fatih, WoW_Blows, Shredderbeam, BMTH, Syed, Atomic, etc. owait.

I don't know DJ personally but i know he contributes so much to this forum, it would be a loss to the site if he remains banned. I don't often log in or post, but i often see whats up for sale and whats going on as a guest. This sort of thing could happen to anyone of you at anytime and from all i have read DJ has alot to lose if he did something like this which i DOUBT he would do in the first place. I have friends who have had thier MSN hacked so i know it can be done.

The comment in the other post about him putting send a PM first and not trading/selling at the moment i can also agree with the others that it WAS there for sometime. He offered me a price for my Swat Booster which wasn't enough!!

I hope mods etc read this and reinstate DJ back to Sythe

I don't know him and have never traded with him but am willing to help with the $40 like the others.

No one gives a flying hoot about any of these other suspicious randoms involved.
