Did i get scammed?

So i was supposed to be paid $4 for a job and only got $3.60 because he ticked to make ME pay the paypal transaction fees, meaning the money i received was 40c less then what he owed.
Do i open up a scam report in the Report a Scammer section? Or am i being crazy..

If the guy wont pay 40c in transactions i'll doubt he'll go in and send another 40c plus another 40c in transactions..i feel robbed.

 

You're whining about 40 cents? ._.

 

Unless you agreed upon who would be covering the fees beforehand, this is a grey area. Although truth be told, it is his responsibility to ensure you get what's due.

 

We agreed on $4. I was paid $3.60. Imagine if i sold somthing for $500 and i had to pay $8 worth of fees, it adds up, and i feel like i've been wronged..


If someone sells you 2 mill for $1 and you get 40 cents and 60 cents in paypal fees, do you complain then or do you go "oh its just 60c"

 

You should have asked him to send as a gift, the fees are much lower.

 

The buyer should be paying the fees imo, unless you agreed otherwise.

Edit: About opening a dispute on sythe, idk bout that :/. Make him pay the remaining 0.4c. It's basicly 10% of the total amount.

 

Yeah its such a small amount being paid to begin with, so why should I have my payment cut by 10% because he couldnt untick a box? I'm demanding he pay the rest or i'm opening a scammer report. Scam me even 1c and i'll get you banned is the motto.
