Diamond V is hell

Went on a 6 win streak gaining 9lp each game.

Lose 1 game...



What is the actual point?

 

I don't think that depends on you being Diamond 5, but more on your MMR.

 

Pretty sure it is diamond V. I have 55% win rate better than most solo Q players and after that win streak, if in any other division I would not have lost 32LP.

 

Hey, I've got the same problem. I had a winning spree from p4 to d5 and once i got in P1 my lp gain was slowly declining, and that is until I hit Diamond V, my lp gain was 13 per game and losing a game means losing -22+ lp. I was motivated to keep playing but now I just cant. I dont get how I have a low mmr when I had like 25-35 games with 80% winrate.

Yea D5 is super bugged right now, the only way to get through it is to have both high MMR and go on a win streak.

 

That shouldn't be the case though. Its Diamond 5-4 not like Diamond 1-Master.
Why screw low diamond lol?

I gained 30-35 though d5 and d4 a few months ago. Looks like you killed your mmr.\

i think you need to have some really good luck winning games in d5 in order to get out of the elo and get your MMR adjusted to where its supposed to be, because the new D5 MMR is different from last season after master tier got introduced, so i think i probably have low plat 1 MMR and maybe that explains my low lp gains

 

I am also in D5 winning 10-13 and losing 27-29 per game, hard life is the Diamond 5 life..

 

Yeah, mostly because of ppl getting boosted to Dia 5 and getting stuck there. Not saying that I don't make mistakes, because I do, a lot, but still, its shows

 

Never understood that argument. Say there is one boosted player per game. There is a 4/9 chance of him being on your team and 5/9 on the enemy team. On top of that you can screen your team on op.gg for signs of boosting before the match starts. It's really just an excuse in my eyes.

 

Even if they got boosted what difference does this LP system do?
If they arent good enough for diamond they will go down but for people who are good enough and improve and could be diamond 4 upwards if there was normal LP gains and losses. Doesnt seem like a reason for a poor system in my eyes.

 

There is a huge mmr gap between plat 1 and diamond 5. You have to play so many games in d5 to actually balance it. Atm I'm at +22 -24 on Diamond 5.

 

Yeah Riot said they are fixing this soon.

I might just not play till its resolved
