DFS will Crash!

This is a possibility, you see back in the good old days obsidian shields were 400k-500k, however most people realised they were the same str bonus as a rune defender and just didnt bother buying, over time this led obby shields to be only good for defence bonus, however with the later introduction of spirit shields, it was clear that there was no apparant use for them as a cheap good shield, as people can just 'switch to defenders' the price of obby shield is shocking at the moment


So this makes me wonder if the introduction of dragon defenders is a fact *as seen by the behind the scenes of this month* it is evident that it will have a better str bonus then the rune defender, but by how much? could this be equal to the same str bonus from dfs or even greater? cause a main attraction to the dfs is its strength bonus, its defence bonus is brilliant but is it really worth 28m-30m if you could just obtain a dragon defender?

 

The dragon defender will have good attack bonuses also.

 

I dont think DFS won't crash. Dragon degender defence bonus won't even come close to DFS and probably DFS will still have more str bonus aswell.

They may go down a bit, but no big deal. Also summoning pures with DFS are more common nowadays and it is used for it's spec too.

 

Or it could just be that they are naturally deflating due to the increase in available visages because of the addition of frost dragons to the game.

Also, they were falling before the announcement of the dragon defender update so I think your estimates are a little unsubstantiated. Though the dragon defender will probably help in causing it to drop, I don't think it is the cause.

 

The DragonFire Shield may drop a bit, but not much. Remember, the DragonFire Shield has a special. (operate it and the stream of fire comes out)

 

i HEARD that DFS might get a damage absorbing feature?

Someone was talking about it on clan chat of mod mmg, not sure if it's real..

 

Dragon Defender won't come close to the stats of the DFS because; It's 60 defence item, not 75. It's simple. Not that I have seen the stats or anything, but it's rather obvious.

Also, DFS were dropping before the announcement of the Dragon Defender. Lol.

 

I heard DFS is completely bought out in GE again.. anyone can confirm this?

DFS will never go below 20 - 25m.

Mainly because it is one of the best defensive shields in the game.

 

Yeah I believe this too.
DFS is a 75 defence item, not a 60 defence.
+ with the DFS spec and great str bonus, why would it need to go down?

 

It was crashing for like 2 updates I think, I bought 10 of them on min. price yesterday. Now they're already max in g/e ^^

 

I really doubt, i doubt that dragon defender will have good defensine stats which makes dfs better.

You guys do realize that most of the panic sellers do not realize about the soaking update that is coming out with the dragon defender update? Soaking update is about damage reduction per minute and it is based not only on the defense skill, but the defense bonus points/armor type. this would mean that high defense bonus items such as a dragonfire shield would be in great demand.

 

this would also mean that prices of armors with high defense would rise, such as dragon armor/god war armor.

 

I agree however the d defender if it has a str bonus simular or even the same, im sure allot of people will choose something free over it

 

the predicted stats for dragon defender is +5 str, +27,26,25 attack bonuses and +27,26,25 def bonuses. (stab, slash, crush)

pretty dramatic change from rune defender.
and DFS as seen is already starting to crash... and this is BEFORE d-defender is even released. uupon the actual releasement, byebye DFS forever

 

The initial crash is usually due to panic, and when people go "omfgz dfs is g0nnaz crashZ!!!"

Other idiots start to panic too, and sell theirs for min.

But the smart merchants will know when the panic will end , and buy them for min at the best times and wait for them to rise again!
