Dedicated Guide Verifiers

The guide sales section is without a doubt one of the most active markets in this forums. In order to successfully sell your guide without harrassment you need to get it verified. I think the guide verification is an extremely good idea, though there is only one problem. Getting your guide verified seems to prove quite a challenge. Many of the "Official Guide Verifiers" listed on the sticky in the forums are also responsible for other roles in the forums. Half of the guide verifiers on the list are rarely ever on, and the other half that come online occasionally pose too busy to verify your guide. I've PMed official verifiers quite a few times only to be ignored. I understand that they may be busy attending to their other roles on the forums, but if that is the case than we should have dedicated guide verifiers that are often available to fulfill this role. No point in assuming the responsibility of something you don't have the time to do. Many other people in the guide sales section have expressed the same frustration when trying to get a hold of a guide verifier and I think something should be changed about it.

 

One guide verified was banned and another resigned from the duty. We definitely need to appoint some more...

 

I support this idea, it sounds like it's currently difficult to get it verified and having dedicated verifiers would clean up all the fake methods that falsely get 'verified'.

 

Yeah I support this. Although they would have to figure out how to choose the verifier(s).

I agree that we need more verifiers.

 

Support. There should just be people who are ONLY guide verifiers. Many of the chosen people already have other responsibilities, such as Moderating or mming.

 

I have no problem adding more. It's just annoying when a member PM's you asking if you can verify it, then it takes 20 PMs to actually get the guide from them (then the I want instant verification takes over).

 

Not just verifiers but people that are verifiers and only that. Not mods or OMMs or anything else because those people tend to always be busy anyways and just ignore you.

 

I agree in adding more, I see people trying to get it verified and it takes days, I understand that most of them have lives, thats why I recommend adding more.

Definitely support this, guides would get verified MUCH faster if we had people that were OGV's (Official Guide Verifiers) I can already see the title in my head! Official Guide Verifier! With 3 Clue Scrolls underneath it Yeah, It's B-E-A-utiful!

 

Since my resignation as guide verifier, I believe that some new people have filled my role. Hahanerd, if I'm not mistaken.

Oh well. I don't think we need any more as more guide verifiers means more people know a method and therefore, there's a higher risk of it being leaked.

 

Support, people need to make sure that they are ready to take on the duty before they just waste peoples times. Ex. I send a PM to a guide verifier regarding my guide; not answered. Around that ballpark

Guide verifiers are usually chosen for their contribution and how well they're known around Sythe.

 

Three new verifiers have been recently added (Tmoe, grave, plznate).

More will be added if necessary.
