Dad.

Hello, well first things first, my Dad thinks I've taken £10 of his money in £2 coins, he has a small pot and collects every £2 he gets. I have £17 and £10 is stacked £2 and the rest is £1 - how can I explain that It's mine? I got it from when I went to a shop and asked for 5 £2 for a £10.
This isn't vital, but he just keeps annoying me about it.

 

Just tell him that they are genuinely yours, and if you had of stolen them you would of owned up once caught out. Tell him you wouldn't lie persistently, you would give in if caught.

 

There really isn't any way to make him believe you than just trust. Showing your stacks of money wouldn't change it. The only suggestion I can say would be to promise him you aren't lieing and just hope he believes you. Good luck man.

 

Just be a bigger man and give him whatever he's asking for.

Just be respectful and tell him it's yours. Ask if he keeps track of the money. If he does, tell him to count it. If he doesn't, then tell him that he has no place to accuse you of stealing from him. If he still doesn't let it go, then I'd have to agree with Goku and just give the money to him. Make sure he knows that it is your money and that you are just giving it to him because he won't leave you alone about it. It's only 10 pounds. I'm not from england or wherever but I converted it to USD and it's only about $16 which is a reasonable amount of money but what's more important, your 10 pounds or your relationship with your father?

 

If their yours then tell him respectfully how you got the 10 pounds and where you got it exchanged at etc... After you can go 2 different routes the first is tell him that if you really think im lying over 10 pounds and you won't stop bringing this up then ill be the bigger man and just give it to you its only 10 pounds -.-
or you can just reiterate its yours and ignore him.

i would most definately not give it to him if it really is your money. that would just make him think that you actually are a thief and a liar and could just harm your relationship even more.
i would recommend that you tell him to keep better track of his money and then he wouldnt have to nag and accuse you of stealing
