Cut down the scammers.

I think the best way to cut down scammers is to make a moderator sell the account for you so that everyone will know the account was verified.

And if there are recovs the moderator changes them to something and then when he sells it he gives them the new recovs.

What kind of a leecher would want to wait 2 weeks to sell an account.

And soppose it was a hacked account by the 2 weeks it could get hacked back to the original owner.

There aren't many monderators with time on their hands to be selling thousands of accounts where most likely half of them will be recovered. I do not support.

 

@ frozenrain Yes that certainly does mean that and seeing that the community will be scam proof there will be a decrease of members so then sythe can just demote the least active moderators so that way the mods will work hard to keep their moderarity.<--if thats a word.

 

Your basically saying, use an OMM.

Moderators are enforced to moderate the forums, not sell accounts for everyone.

 

I agree, there's no way we'd have enough mods, plus the people who gave the account to the mods to sell can still recover. /No support

 

There aren't at the moment and I think if there were more moderators they could take hold of it and as I stated before if the account has to be verified than more than half of the community is going to leave considering they wouldn't be able to scam anymore. And if there are recovs or any mem stats then they should get a status on their Thread saying Something like TRADE WITH RISK

 

Even if there aren't recovs or a bank pin/email, it's still really easy to recover an account... It'd be just as easy to give the account to a mod, they sell, you get money, and then recover back.

 

Ofcourse some will recover it back but this still cuts down at least 50% of scammers because most of the scammers don't even have the account to begin with they just edit the stats with mspaint. =@

 

Where's the proof 50% of scammers will leave? Hmm??

And if your stupid enough to buy an account that was made in MS PAINT you seriously need help...

 

But the leechers, don't really care if they get banned.

 

But what you aren't understanding is that it still cuts down scammers because leechers now just post high level accounts and I dont think they would want to get it verified by a staff which could take 2 weeks for the moderator to cancel the recovery. They wouldn't want to waste that much time.

How does it cut down on scammers? I'm not understanding... If they don't wanna waste time to cancel recoveries than just be smart when you buy an account, make sure it doesn't have recovs, bank pin, email, all info is included and USE AN OMM. If you do all this, according to your posts you won't be scammed cause scammers don't want to waste that much time.

What do you mean most OMM get banned? There are currently 11 OMM's.

 

Give me 3 examples of OMM's that have been banned, and how many are currently active. MOST are still around. If you are serious in buying an account, waiting 2 days for an OMM is nothing.
