Custom ahk script detection

Hello all, i plan to learn and write my own custom ahk scripts was wondering when i run it should i be using the classic client or RL(runelite). i recall somewhere( is a vague memory, i may be wrong) that jagex can detect certain things on RL and also can detect if you are using RL or not. Can anyone clear this up for me?

 

Things I have read before are that client detection is simply not what they are doing to find out if you are using any form of macroing. Once again, just things I have read before and seems credible due to my experience botting
