CS:GO Cases

Hiya, CS noob here.

I'm assuming cases aren't worth opening at all unless you get extremely lucky?

Are certain cases better than others as far as key prices go (assuming here that all keys have different values based on what's in the case they open)?

All keys are basically the same price here, and are all exactly the same on the market ($2.49) however case prices range based on how old the (expansion) they come from is. For example, Operation Breakout just came out and cases are going for like $4+ where as the other newest (huntsman) are down too like $1 already.
I'd say the weapons in the newest expansion are going to be more expensive at the start like the cases, but from what I've seen nothing too good from the breakout ones... At least none that peaked my interest.

 

A heads up, do not open Weapon Case 3. That is the worst case.
Besides that, mainly the Operation Phoenix, Winter Offensive, and the new cases are the good ones.

Usually, the ones with a lot of rares are worth to open.

 

I have sold several Bravo cases to get wallet fund for keys so I don't have to spend my own money. Out of 6 esport keys so far I have gotten absolutely nothing of value. I probably would have been better off using the Bravo case money to buy cheap stat traks from the market. but thats my own personal exp.

 

Thanks for replying so far, everyone. I'm just curious because I recently started playing, and I didn't know much of anything about the cases or the items they contain. I don't care about having skins for my weapons, but getting cool ones to sell naturally sounds appealing.
