Credit System.

Although this would require a lot of work and dedication, I believe it would work towards a lot of revenue towards improving the site, get people in the community involved, and a little bit of profit towards the owner.

Alright, well.. if you've seen previous posts of mine, I may have told that I am Semi-pro at Call of Duty.
I play Gamebattles, and some of their revenue is conducted in tournaments that are hosted for cash prizes.
These tournaments may be for Halo, Call of Duty, or say Runescape PKing
(1v1).
Now.
Even though there is no generators, you can use Gamebattles as an alternative to that(if need be, I may be able to help in that field. I will go into more detail if this actually becomes a reality).
Players would enter these tournaments in hopes of winning a cash prize, but in order to enter, you must pay a fee(obviously) to play.
To keep track of this, you could make a "Credit" system.
And with this credit system, you may buy them via Credit Card, MoneyBookers, Paypal, Western Union(whichever payment option is preferred).
These credits could also solve unnecessary questions concerning name changes as maybe being able to create a function that would change the name for you, a fee of maybe 10 credits or so.

Now.
The tournament would be hosted for a cash prize, as listed.
Possibly first place team gets 100$ for the team to split.
The teams must report the win, or loss varying if they won, or were defeated.
The tournaments would range in cost, depending on the wealth that is put into the purse.

Since there is no match generator.. and incase of disputes, or people trying to get wins that they didn't actually earn, (cheating), we could have a said person who is designated in spectating the match, sort of like a referee.

This could be an alternative to your Sythe MMORPG since I haven't seen any ground work, or developement(no pun or insult intended).

Like I said, it would take a lot of planning and dedication, I can picture it all in my head, just when or if this gets approved, I'll speak with whoever is incharge. Of course, with this, it would have set rules/boundaries.

 

For a start Gamebattles is a complete fail.

It just wouldn't work out. People will dispute, and on Gamebattles, teams get locked, whereas on Sythe, how it that going to happen? You would need a trustworthy person to hold the winnings, and I'm sure none of the Moderators would like to do this as it would be very time consuming.

But, if you really want to run a tournament, do it yourself, you organise it all, you hold the money, you do all the draws for the games, you sit through looking at all the proof, you do all the disputes.

It's not possible.

No staff member would be willing to spend this much time managing the credits system. There would be no profit in it for them and gathering donations is already a hassle. Imagine trying to gather these credit payments...

It's so tedious with the amount of people on the website, it just would cause trouble, not to a mention a waste of bandwith.

 

Like the idea. However I think it would have to be expanded on outside of COD and Rs. Not to mention that level differences would be a problem.

I like the referee Idea. but what if someone killed the referee to get points/kills?

There would have to be special moderators and a special paypal or w/u account for this. It wont happen soon but I can forsee it as an update to come.

It's a good idea but will never be implemented. I haven't seen much implemented on Sythe for a while.

 

If Sythe could get some trusted and educated users in this field, I could see this happening. But currently there are few peopleon sythe that would be willing to put in the time and effort to make this work, unless you paid them a reasonable amount.

 

I'm sure that there are dedicated users around the community that would be more than willing.
Some veterans of the site perhaps. Maybe Sythe should host an application process?

I would like to see this in action but i doubt this would happen but i dont mind donating to get this moving.

 

It would bring stolen credit cards/paypals and fraud back into the picture. Although it is a decent idea, I don't think it would be an idea that would benefit sythe as a whole, revenue speaking.
