I think combat stats are a lot more fun to have than money, 99 ranging takes like days when you're rich. Do it, and mage. Will pwn in PvP worlds, THEN get crafting.

If you're going to be getting mage up then you might want to consider doing it at the same time as crafting and make ruby necklaces then alch, unless ruby bracelets alch for more. This is what I did on my main for a bit but I didn't care much for either skill so I never finished and ended up with like 85 mage 75 crafting.

 

Get it, if you're looking for a respectable cape, this is a great one unless you're looking to spend 30 years rcing or mining.
