Counter Scamming

WHEN SOMEONE SCAMS, HE WILL MOST LIKELY JUST RECEIVE A PERM BAN FROM SYTHE, AND COULD POSSIBLY USE A DIFFERENT IP/SHIT TO ACCESS SYTHE FORUMS AND SCAM AGAIN.

That being said, if i were to scam $200 here, i would just receive a perm ban , maybe just 50% - 60% of the time as some buyers do not take down the proof. When i get perm ban it's just the end of the story - basically im getting 'paid' $200 to stop using Sythe. However, im able to use other means ( ban evade ) to get back and scam again before i get caught. however, if im good enough, i will not get detected.

That's just how easy it is for scammers, they basically lose nothing much...

I feel that counter scamming should be allowed for what the scammer has scammed. For e.g, the scammer has scammed $100, another person is allowed to counter scam the scammer for $100 and repay the victim. After this, the original scammer can then get perm banned and the victim will be left with what he originally had too .

to be honest, if i was king tign2, i would not have refunded that douche his money and instead use it to repay the guy who orignally get scammed. afterall, isn't justice upheld better in this way?

 

This would cause wayyy too much confusion. Scams would happen left and right, and would possibly be easier to get away with.

 

In that case I believe he should have kept the money he got for the order and waited for a globalmod+ 's decision.
If this were legal, It's too easy to abuse.

Don't intentionally counter-scam.
But when you do hold money from a scammer, Ask a mod what to do with it.

 

If i raped your girlfriend and was just 'let off' with a 8 years in jail. I bet you would feel that isn't at least enough, and furthermore most rapes are left unreported. I guess you will want to castrate me, have gay men to rape me? Won't you? Sadly, in real life it is illegal, but this is Sythe, and we have our own rules. An eye for an eye is the fair punishment

 

I would consider that a temp. ban. Perm. bans are more like lethal injection.

No idea what the two above posts are talking about, but this isn't really feasible. We used to do this like 3-4 years ago and it could still be done in some select cases but it's two hard to regulate.

 

No way. Scamming is scamming, no matter who you scam. Its not ethical to scam anyone, not even someone who has scammed you in the past, no matter how much they deserve it.

I don't know why you would say such a ridiculous thing.
