I'm suprised no one brought this up on the forum! Have you heard the song? Big Sean was great, KENDRICK LAMAR WAS TOO GOOD TOO GOOD KDOT LIFE WAY TOO GOOD BEST RAPPER ALIVE And Jay was ok. Really though, give it a listen if you haven't.
Far from the best rapper alive, first. Second, i don't like how everyone jump to conclusion and exaggerated the verse of Kendrick's "diss". It wasn't a diss, multiple rappers and fans took it as an insult but there was no disrespect distributed. People blew this song completely out of proportion. If you want to hear some bangers, listen to asap fergs new album.
I know a lot of the rappers Kendrick mentioned took it as a challenge not a diss. I havent been fond of mainstream rap in awhile but a few guys out there have been giving me hope like Kendrick, Wale, J-cole etc.
this is good for hip hop rappers actually have to make music now instead of rapping about bullshit rap needed this its a challenge
K-dot is definitely up there as one of the best MCs. After all, only 26 years old, he has just started. He's not trying to venture out into the pop flow, he strictly raps. As for "Control", I thought he killed it. His verses were creative, and with the sick beat, he destroyed the track. As for his so called "diss" verse = It should NOT be interpreted as a diss. I think all the mentioned rappers know that. They know they are on the top of the game with him, thats why K-Dot mentioned them. The real diss is to those who weren't mentioned. You don't see any of the mentioned rappers saying anything other than Pusha-T who said "I hear you loud and clear my ni**a". The ones that weren't mentioned like Bob and Los are the ones making reply songs. If you ask me, K-Dot is trying to step the rap game up, simply by challenging all of the other MCs to see him on the mic and to get in the studio. Whether or not you have money, fame, etc does not matter to Kendrick. He wants the other rappers to get at him with the mic and verses, not their money. Props to K-Dot for bringing the rap game back to rappers challenging each other.
