Considering botting

Hi all,

I'm interested in getting into botting for skills and RS cash. No experience with the current bot schemes, and unsure which bots to use.

Are there any bots out there that don't have you use the bot program to start up/log into runescape? Bots like RSbot that have their own client interface seem like a perfect way to steal your password. When botting, do you all run the bot behind a firewall to prevent it from sending info to any other site that runescape? Any thoughts on how to pretect against trojan-horse/phisher bots?

 

You'll be fine using RSBot, thousands of people use it and I haven't heard of getting password scammed by RSBot itself. It is possible to steal passwords through scripts, but with a little precaution you can avoid that. The way I handle that is just before using any scripts make the sure person is very trusted, and many people have already used the script and reported proggies, bugs, etc. Or you could just learn how to make your own scripts.
