I think it is safe but if i were you i would buy compressed air, not gas, as the gas can condense on your computer parts depending on what it actually is

    Ok.

I heard that you can damage things doing that? If not, it would save me time and money.

Thankyou :) Looks like I'm going to buy some compressed air, as a hoover/vacuum seems dangerous to use on a computer. it will get in the tight spaces more too.

yeah dude it's all good. Just unplug it. I've used a vacuum thing before too. Also, instead of buying the compressed air just use an air compresser like you use to fill up your tires.

Wouldn't a tin get in the smaller parts better? Or use both; tin then hoover? I don't see how using a pump would be ergonomic :p

The hoover has enough power to suck the dust up from the tiny parts. If You use it at the lowest power there is no way you can damage your parts

Oh, ok, thankyou :) The only problem is, you are meant to use a cordless one, which I don't have.

Yes this is spray speaking how can I help you with your computer issue?

But anyway compressed air should be fine, just make sure its a fast evaporating one. I bought a can of it a while ago to do the same thing and it says specifically it's safe for electronics on the side. You don't want it to cake on and screw over your motherboard or other components ;)

I only dust my PC if it really needs dusting to be honest and that's like once or twice a year. Compressed air is exactly what you think it is, it blows away dust and such whenever you spray it. There is a very small risk of damage if you use the hoover as you might knock something out of place and such. I would go with the compressed air and only really get it if your computer seriously needs cleaning.
