    Computer setup for editing

I know most of you probably have PC's but for the more advanced users of photoshop, and anyone who makes money doing it professionally, whats your computer setup?

I play rs off of my pc, but for my photography and occasional web design I have a late 2014 iMac 5k retina screen with 16gb of ram and 1tb hd. Love that thing for editing, I don't even bother to open photoshop on my pc anymore. I mainly use lightroom and photoshop, however sometimes I will fire up dreamweaver.

For what you're doing, your current set up should be great. However if you ever want to get into 3D modeling (environments, props, etc.) you may need to beef it up just a bit.

I was going to build my own PC, but I needed a new one asap at the time. Instead I opted for the HP Envy 700qe. 24GB RAM, Intel Core i7-4790 3.60 GHz, and 4GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 745. It handles large .psd files very well. It also handles extremely large polygon counts and large amounts of object population quite well.

It's not great for games though (somehow I got stuck with a graphics card on the lower end of gaming GPUs).

Overall, it's very good for regular sythe designs like 3D signatures and thread layouts.
