    The number is just the speed of the RAM. You can use ram rated for higher speeds, but it may not reach it's full potential if it's held back by the processor. But that's not really a big deal.

    It's not a big deal but I would save a few bucks and buy less expensive ram since the CPU won't be able to make use of the more expensive ram anyways.

    You are unlikely to notice a performance difference between 1600Mhz and 1866Mhz ram, if you look at benchmarks the speed difference is negligible anyway.

    thanks for all you help. ill got with the 1600 and save myself some 10 dollar bills for something else. :D:D
