Community Fun!

Sythe is an absolutely booming and great market, however I'd love to see it involve lots of community related activities as well. I'll get straight to the point to save you guys some valuable time:

Sythe.org Related:

- Member of the month
-- Staff of the month
- Signature of the week/month
- Various other awards to people per month
-- Such as "funniest post of the month"
- Perhaps an unofficial, secure chatbox; or heavily promote the IRC

RuneScape Related:

- Contests/Lotteries
- Drop parties
- Official PKing clans
- Official Soulwars/Pest Control Worlds

Other Game Related:

- Contests for keys/game time in other games (for example, WoW)
- Online Poker
- Online Board Games

Obviously, a lot more detail would be put into the specifications. Different things would be required to enter contests and such - that'll make it funner!

I'm sure I can think of more ideas, but for now that's it.

I'm all for more Community activies, however...

Hahanerd runs this usually every month.

This is on a break at the moment as our recently promoted GFX mod is taking a break I believe.

It's done in the yearly awards.

We have an unofficial IRC. Go to Striked.org and the channel is #sythe if you want to join .

FireZ was in the process of making this happen, although he's temporarily banned while he regains secure access to his MSNs etc I believe.

Nobody would fund the drop parties.

Tyro was trying to make this happen a while ago; though, I'm not sure what happend. There are a few unofficial clans around.

Nobody would fund these "giveaways".

Again, FireZ was in the process of running things like these, as I said before, he is not here at the moment thus no progress.
