-In this guide I will list some of the many items that you will need to bring if you are wishing to tryout for your schools Junior Varsity team, Varsity team, going to important games, practice, etc. The items I will post here are either necessary or will be a benefit to you when out playing soccer.

    Item Number One: Soccer Ball
    [IMG]
This is one of the most important items you will need. Always bring a soccer ball unless told otherwise. If you don't bring a ball and everyone else has one it can look bad. Make sure you get a soccer ball that is the right size for you. Also make sure the ball is filled with air.

    Item Number Two: Cleats
    [IMG]
Soccer cleats are also a very important thing to have. These are shoes made especially for soccer. Make sure that you have the right kind of shoe (no football cleats or baseball cleats) as these are not allowed and you may not be allowed to play in them. Also make sure that these shoes comfortably fit you not to tight, and not to loose.

    Item Number Three: Shin Guards
    [IMG]
Shin Guards are very important to have while playing soccer. These help to keep your ankles/shins safe. If you have ever played soccer before then you will know that you will get kicked quite a few times. Remember to always wear these even during practice to ensure you do not get hurt.

    Item Number four: Soccer Socks
    [IMG]
Soccer socks are longer socks made especially for soccer. These are needed to cover up your shin guards, and they also help hold them in place. You may not always have to wear these during practice if it is too hot, but make sure you bring these to the games as you need them to play!

    Item Number Five: Soccer shorts
    [IMG]
These are not always needed, but will help a good bit. These will help you when running up and down a field as it will get very hot. These also are easier to run in.

    Item Number Six: Water
    [IMG]
This is a very important thing to bring when playing soccer. Even when it is not hot outside you can get dehydrated while playing soccer. I would advise you to bring the biggest water bottle you can find and will it with ice/water before every practice/game as you will be drinking ALOT. You could always borrow one of your teammates water bottles if you forget yours but it is easy to spread germs that way and I would not advise it.

    Item Number Seven: Sweatbands
    [IMG]
These are good things to wear when out playing soccer, because they help to absorb the sweat that will accumulate on your body while playing soccer. When playing soccer you will get very sweaty and when that happens it can be quite uncomfortable, so anything that can help I would wear.

Item Number Eight: Bring some quick food to eat
    [IMG]
Bring a quick snack that you can eat before the game or during one of the breaks. No fatty foods/sugary drinks or things like that. Bring things like bananas (help prevent cramps) or a quick fiber bar.

    Item Number Nine: Uniform
    [IMG]
If you have team soccer uniform then make sure you bring it! These are needed so your teammates can see that you are on there team. If you do not have a uniform just make sure you wear something light.

    Item Number Ten: Courage
Dont doubt yourself when playing soccer, or say to yourself that your no good as these will just bring you down and make you do worse. KNOW that you are going to get a goal this game, KNOW that you can stop this penalty kick. If you think like this it will help tons.

If you have anymore questions about soccer just send a pm my way! I have played the game for 10+ years and can probably help you with anything you may need.

Hmmm, this guide is OK, it explains everything clearly and is set out rather well...but is it needed? The majority of this is common sense and doesn't really need a guide on it.

Otherwise, you've made it look nice, there is a decent amount of pictures and it explains everything clearly. If it was a better topic I'd rate it highly.

Informative guide but it's nothing special. Next time you're going to write a guide, try and think of a more creative topic or at least add a spin to your guide to make it more than just an informative explanation of soccer items.
