Ryan Choi is NA Challenger, he's korean by origin but hasn't played on KR server. (at least not to challenger there)

4 dorans is obviously strong for laning. It sets you back a little bit later on since you'll have to sell the doransblades eventually which sets you back a bit.

It can be a good investment since Rengars biggest weakness is earlygame and with 4 dblades you're not too weak at all, but remember that there's a tradeoff and that some other rengars choose to get less dblades and rush their core items faster.

 

that's what I thought too, but isn't it better in general than just building like normal? Why? because with the 4 dorans you do tons of dmg, can roam, and can 1 shot eventually if you rush yoomoo

 

because 99% of the people don't actually know how to play the ryan choi style. They just buy 4 dorans then run back to lane, sit there all game then wonder why they lost. Ryan never lanes, he gets 4 dorans and when he's 6 he just roams bot for a double kill and drag. he uses rengar to snowball other lanes, which majority of the players don't know how to do.
