New desktop background. All base colors were used in this project, as I worked on my skills with multiple light sources. The copper surfaces are also given an unusual shine, to an almost glass buff. Available in wide-screen and standard 4:3 formats.
What do you consider a normal orb, because no 2 of my orbs are done the same way, per say. I have made so many of them, that I don't follow any guidelines anymore, I just do them. The colors are just going to come together like that with this style, and the only trick to making it look round is the gloss has to look round. To do that, I just made a selection of the original circle, and on a new layer painted a flat color with the paint bucket. I cut it down the middle, and then selected the flat color again. I deleted the flat color's layer, made a new layer, then went to select>modify>smooth at the appropriate radius. This time it happened to be 100, which is max, but this gave me the selection that I wanted. Then I used the gradient tool, white to transparent, gave me the hard sheen I was looking for, and did my little tricks to give it the aura I always give my things.
