Chinning in EOC?

Is it still possible and is it good xp? Do you die quickly now that protection prays only block 50% of damage? Has anyone tried it yet?

 

It was nerfed in the beta from what I can tell, but cannon+dual crossbows is almost as good. Everywhere is multicombat so the cannon is OP.

 

To add, the Royal Crossbow appeared to be phenomenal in the beta, perhaps check that out if you have the requirements to obtain and use one.

 

Okay thanks for the advice. If anyone has anything else to add, please do. I'm really looking for a quick way to train my range and money is not an issue.

 

Train in black demons in tavelry. They are weak to bolts so they get eaten up. I'm looking for a thrown-weak monster to see if rune darts is another viable option.

try bloodveld, i got them as a slayer task but ill be cooping so i might not bring cannon. they are weak to thrown, if i get around to it tonight ill try to check back in with my findings

 

Velds are overrated IMO. There is not enough of them for the cannon to be worth it. They are a decent task, but overall arent worth the hassle when not slaying.

I wonder if Abby Specs are good. They are weak to thrown, and they are relatively concentrated.

 

I've got them as a slayer task, I'll report back when I try 'em out after I make some more off hand bronze knives. I'll be using bronze knives (both main and offhand) and a cannon with 88 range and extreme ranging potions.

 

Yea...cannon and double crossbows are better.

 

Tried 'em out and they are poop. Even with the new turmoil for range, you can't place a cannon in there which is lame. They aren't viable, I reckon I would've gotten around 80k ish exp per hour with x2 bronze knives and all the bells and whistles.

 

i know it sucked bad in beta i am about to try out the real eoc for the first time now

 

You can't place a cannon in the Poly slayer dungeon anymore? That sucks.

You can but watch out as Ganodermic beast's Got a lot stronger over night, however the drops improved, Ill test it out, I might get raped due to multi everywhere. Fully maxed. Frost dragons are Hella easy now.
