Can't bump thread(s)?

(Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere)

For some reason I can't bump one of my threads, it says I need to wait for someone to reply or 48 hours before I can post again, then when I do the quick reply it says I just posted and need to wait 30 seconds, but infact I haven't posted at all, but I see people bumping their thread every ~40 mins-2 hours?

Upon a thread being created you must wait 48 hours for you to be able to reply to your own thread. If someone else replies within the 48 hours you can reply right after them though.

Rules say that you are allowed 1 bump every 24 hours.

Report them. That's not allowed.

 

You are allowed to directly reply to questions on the thread. Make sure that you are referring solely to bumping (not in response to anyone). As Wulf said, bumping more frequently than once/24hrs is against the rules and should be reported.

 

This is absolutely right, and will not change any time soon.
