Cannot play runescape

I cannot play runescape anymore. If you have been monitoring the tech forums, there seems to be an issue with my isp (chorus ntl) and the runescape servers.

For some reason, the client is dropped, I lag constantly etc..
Jagex says that during peak hours isps ration bandwidth, but on my old isp, I never had problems with rs/counterstrike ever.

Speaking of counterstrike, why do I not get worse speed there when playing during peak hours? Everything except runescape has dramatically improved since switching to chorus ntl.

Can someone please shed some light on this? It's driving me mad.

 

What's your connection speed/bandwidth? If it's too low, you could be choking on the new graphix.

 

The problem only started for everyone using the isp from september the 24th.

I don't see what problem you would have. You wireless or no?

I did have wireless, but the signal was useless so now we have wired = much much much better.
UPC Ireland is my isp.

 

omg i just checked mine on that speedtest.net. shit yours makes mine look like dialup.. ive been lagging like a bitch

 

Nice speed so that shouldnt be a problem.


You could try switching isp's. i have switched from At&t to Charter and my connection is 100x better.

 

I was considering going back to my old one, which would play runescape fine but would play everything else slower. Anyway, I've decided I'm going to have to wait this out, everything was fine until September 34th.
