Botting Warnings

How do I get notified on any possible warnings I may have for botting? Would it be the RuneScape messaging system? Or by email?

 

All emails pertaining to a botting offense are phishers. Jagex will just give you a temporary ban most likely without warning you.

 

As KMJT said any Runescape email is a phisher email. They will only email you if you have requested it to change password, etc - even then it won't ask you to log in as you will still be logged in on the runescape web page. If you are caught for botting by Botany Bay they said you will be temporarily banned (7 days I think?). More then likely a message will appear informing you that they know about your indiscretions, they aren't going to keep you in the dark about it.

 

It will appear in your game in-box.

And a 7 day temp ban slapped in your face as a first warning.

 

A big "banned" screen will cover your RS applet.
You will receive a message in your RS Inbox about the offense
It will be recorded on your offense history in your profile
When you go to log in after receiving an offense, it will tell you and suggest you check your offense history before playing again
Mod Mark stated in the Live stream that 2nd chance macroing offenses, and perm ban offenses from BotWatch would lead to an email being sent out, HOWEVER, I believe he said there will not be any kinds of links or login redirects, etc. It will simply say your username and that you were caught botting.
