Botting is dead?

Began another attempt at a bot farm.

Refreshed my IP beforehand,
Botted an account doing fishing, in a very rare location (Had people mentioning they had never seen anyone fish there before).

However i was still banned within 2 days of botting?

was i just unlucky and should i try again? or is this the end?

 

Had you had bans on similar IP's beforehand? Either your script is detectable, or they wildcarded some parts of your IP and put it on a blacklist and caught you anyway.

 

I had been banned beforehand on a different IP, However i have changed my IP since then?

After a 2 day ban comes a pern, plus after a 2 day Jagex keeps a close eye on your account so it's probably toast.

No one really shares any worth-wile gold-farm-related info, as it would be counterproductive to their goals.

Just got to use trial and error and figure out what combination/routines work out best for you.

Botting is still viable, thousands of people do it successfully, it's just not as easy as a few years ago.

 

Yeah I notice a lot of people are reluctant to share secrets, and rightfully so.

 

If it's two days that's just bad luck.

 

Try using normal goldfarming methods in out-of-place locations.
Killing men for ranarrs? Try killing the Men somewhere nobody usually goes on a low-pop world.
If you botted 1-60 str at Men you could transfer the herbs onto a main and sell the account for some extra GP too.
