What's your opinion on them? How about your favorite books?

Mine's deadline. It's about a kid who has a year to live, and he chooses not to tell anyone, including his family. If you like a decent semi-drama book, I'd recommend you this book.

 

Books are all right. I hate having to read in school because I would rather read casually, like before bed.

I've grown up with Harry Potter so those are definitely my favorite books.

 

Lol I doubt many people here read.

But I don't prefer fiction, or those story based books because they are not that interesting to me. I like the science/philosophy type of books. My personal favorite right now How to win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

I honestly hate all fiction books. If its not going to help you or educate you in some way then I would rather watch TV.

No, my friend recommended it to me a long time ago and I gave it a shot. So I came on here and was surprised to see that someone else had also read it. Thank you for making false assumptions.

I liked it. It isn't really a book about manipulating people, it is about being getting people to like you and succeeding in life.

But yes, that has to be a good book. I got out of a ticket the other day from the stuff that i used.

 

Yeah I like the part about how if you're interested in other people instead of being selfish, those people will help you out without you having to ask them. Good if you are going to be a salesman.

agreed with juvenile. books are just homo. how can you enjoy reading a book? i really dont understand. i personally think reading is good for you. but how can you stand being silent and reading some words for minutes or even hours. if i was going to read i would atleast play music

Actually theres only one book I have read that I have actually enjoyed
Animal Farm - George Orwell

 

I love books. I can't stop reading. Among my favorites would have to be The God Delusion, Philosophy of religion, and God Reason and Religion.

I like religious philosophy. >_>

I'm reading a book about Saddam's life it's pretty cool. I like the real stories behind evil people. Like Adolf hitler for example. And how his teeth were so bad they hurt him constantly and he had like 1 or 2 real teeth and the rest were gold. That was a good one.

 

Heh. I read psychology books, also. Right now I have to dust off the old Freud. Cant sit down and read him without me getting bored. I'll just have to play some classical music and get in teh mood. Anyone recommend any other good psychology books?
