I was thinking, the Catch-22 in these forums are as real as the in real life ones:

No one will hire you without relevant experience, and you can't get experience without ever being hired at a job.

Which runs in the same vein as

No one will buy your accounts/items/currency because you don't have any vouchers, and you can't get any vouchers without ever making sales.

Which also gets more complicated here as there are issues with

    1. Skepticism on post count of seller - Even 3 month old members with 100+ postcounts have been banned for scamming
    2. Skepticism on postcount of voucher - Vouching for themselves under a proxy
    3. Skepticism on vouchers of vouchers -

Having went past the general section, I just can't find that much to say in the threads, whether the subject does not interest me, or it is irrelevant to me, or I am simply too intimidated by the nature of other posters.

Essentially, spam forum undermines any remaining credibility in post counts.

    So... I propose that .. We put in place an official sanction service where, if you are put up a good-behaviour bond; you can receive a special status under your username; Not necessarily "Trusted", but that you are "Trustable";

After sending an amount of $10/$20/$30 to be held on a paypal account that Sythe administrators will create, and in the event of the seller scamming, the amount will be refunded to whoever was scammed; and the rest confiscated as donation. And this will be returned to you should you decide to leave the forums.

If you've ever been in trouble with the law, think of this as a pro-active form of posting bail

Of course; we will have to tighten the burden of proof incase opportunists try to claim they've been scammed to obtain that bond money.

What do you guys think? o:

    Several things.

Firstly, the spam forum doesn't contribute to post count, and judging somebody by their post count is fairly pointless anyway.

Secondly, using a reputable middleman eliminates all possibility of deception, there is no need for any of this.

And finally, the mods/admins simply do not have the time to administrate something like this.

    Oh yeah~

I keep thinking of this forum from a "Other MMOs" point of view.. Where middleman doesn't quite work

Ah~ I'm going to stop suggesting things from now on *nods*

Sorry, I probably sounded too critical.

Ideally, something like this would be in place. If the staff could be trusted, which on the whole they can, this would have the potential to eliminate any foul play.

But unfortunately it just isn't possible.

Donate $20. Set up 3 trades for $20 each, using the donation as apparent collateral for each, walk away with an easy $40 profit.

    Great idea >.>

There's never an easy measure on whether a user can be trusted. Most users simply have to start out by going first or using an MM, and after they've established themselves as a legitimate trader, they'll find a leecher who will go first with them. Though, in truth, it doesn't even take that: unfortunately, a lot of users on this site are naïve, and can be talked into going first even without a past trade history - hence why scammers tend to hang around here. Establishing a reputation takes time, but if you look around, you'll see that plenty of people have done so.

It's a good idea but the staff don't have the massive amount of time required to run something like this.
