Best Skill for GP?

I'm trying to figure out what skill(s) are the most worthwhile for GP. I've heard combat skills and slayer are the most worthwhile, combat skills for being able to kill higher level things and slayer for killing frost dragons for their drops. I'd like Sythe's opinion on this however, thanks.

 

maxed melees are good cash
what i think what also would bring good money; zeal pures, like lvl 3 with 1000 of zeals to build up his own account

I used to woodcut + fletch for some extra bank. Then again, both of them are 99 so I woodcut magics + make magic longbows with only having to buy string.

 

That is a slow method, due to the time to cut the magics.

Personally LRC is around 200k hr now with crashing gold prices and the number of bots. Most skilling methods are now over farmed making skills almost worthless. Most people now use maxed melee for PvM on bosses and hope for good drops. That is what I recommend but if your not you could do GOP (great orb project) which is botted but is still around 200-300k hr bit based on luck but decent money.

 

This is very true. Also slayer was nerfed ages ago with making the good drops less frequent. It's generally a more fun and viable way than most skills in RS. What I'd recommend would be offering a service on sythe instead such as firecapes or skilling, it's better for making cash.

 

Wcing is a nice one but as said above their are also a lot of bots doing it so you might find it hard . Other than that if you are f2p then you could do some runite mining as I hear that is good money if you world switch or just try the good old plain and simple merching for a bit of extra dough .

 

Runecrafting is a pretty good money making skill when you are able to craft Nature Runes. Training combat skills/Dungeoneering and fighting Frost Dragons for Frost Dragon Bones is solid money especially when paired with a Dwarf Cannon. However, the area is usually filled with bots and can be quite frustrating. If you have lower combat levels/Dungeoneering level you can fight Blue Dragons in Taverley Dungeon for their drops. Also Farming is a nice skill to make a bit of cash with. Herb runs can made you a decent amount every few hours and you don't have to watch them or do much clicking as they just grow in the background and you go farm them every 80 minutes.

 

Slayer good money if you do it for weeks
Mining in lrc is quote easy and you can afk
Wc is easy cash andveasy to afk
Dagg kings is good money (not tried on new cb system yet tho)
Barrows can be good money (first time i ever tried i made 15 mil)

 

I don't play this game anymore, but I would definitely go with frost dragons. If you're playing legit you'd probably be able to beat all the bots, and they're worth a lot per bone.

 

^This solely because frost dragons are significantly easier with the EoC update initiated. Number1Bosss has reported that he killed five within a minute using the exact same setup he originally would use. However, there is bound to be crowding due to the amount of ease it takes compared to before (no-brainer).

 

Which also means, if it holds true, a price crash will soon follow because of a flood of bones onto the market. A good skill to learn would be merching. It isn't in the game and all but if you can learn to read the charts and find the right product you can flip for big bucks. I made around 7 - 10m in about 2 1/2 days just sitting around for about an hour or so each day.

 

7-10M, in 2-3 days isn't anything anymore in Runescape; due to inflation, price of items and everyone simply having played so long, amassing tonnes more items than before.

I'd suggest merching, once you have a decent capital you can put forth. Try PvM'ing. Basic gear with a decent team can go a long way, and be rewarding.

 

Both of you raised good points; I was looking short-term but nonetheless if you have the appropriate skills it's worth taking a look-see.
