Battlescape?

What is battlescape, I see just about every post in the miscellaneous section about battlescape. What is it? I looked it up on google, but every link i come up with is broken or leads me nowhere.

Anybody help me out?

The game is played by thousands. It's just a RS private server, and it's harmless.
