Back Seat Modding.

May I ask why this isnt in the rules?

I realise that I am new to This forum but have been mods/admins on many gaming forums and the #1 rule that annoys me is Backseat modding.

Not only is it givng easy posts but 3 people done it on a dead thread.

If there is a reason then I am sure it must be a good one, but what wrong with simply reporting them instead of making a big deal out of it?

It used to be in the rules, but we noticed that a lot of people were being infracted for it. We decided to be a little more strict on spamming infractions instead.

No it isn't.

But if excessive amount of people say the same thing over and over again as in the thread you linked, I'd suggest reporting them as they're only doing it for the postcount.

 

Ok, For example http://www.sythe.org/member.php?find=lastposter&f=221 This guy most posts of hes are saying "No Pictures Infracted" I have nothing against him but it just seems like an easy way to gain posts?

Also i wrote that because he scammed me on 50$, but i don't have prove.

And also as long as someone stupid enought to read sticky, i am sure telling him to read sticky will be alright.

And also i am trading in that market a lot, don't want to see someone selling items without picture, and ending up seling item and not getting infracted.

 

I don't see him saying that in the last 50 posts I checked. His last few posts of "Do not download" are technically not spam as he's trying to warn the community not to download the file.

 

The fact that he's a leecher is irrelevant. When you posted your "warning" to his thread, did you realize that around 3 people had already said what you said?

 

I acknowledge that and I am awear I am new, But like I said I am not new to the gaming market and forums.

I have nothing against you and I feel sorry for you if he did scam you.

No need to strees about this as you have done nothing wrong, I was simply using that thread as an example. If you wish I will use another thread as an example.

To clarify: it's only infractable if it's repeated over and over, because then it comes clear that people are only posting to add to their post count.
