Sythe has been plagued by spambots and advert bots for a while now, and I assume it takes up alot of moderator time to actually ban all of these bots. My suggestion is simple: If a user posts a preset message, such as
    They are automatically permed.
If this is just a legitimate user, then they can dispute their ban and it will be reduced to one month like it's supposed to, but if it is an advertising bot, it will not dispute itself and will just get banned, saving mod time and effort

    Yes, I would support this.
I also think that an instant perm-ban should apply to anyone who posts drivebys. It worries me that they only get infracted sometimes, allowing them to spam more before they are banned.

How are we to know if it is a preset method?

The first few times, mods will have to manually ban the person for advertising, but if it is seen alot (5 or more times for example) it can be added to a catalog of bannable messages

It's really not a big enough deal to warrant the time required to code such an addon.

at least the way I see it all you need to do is add the statements to check it next to the statements that make *********** (spy ike . org) ********** (live stream) etc. censored

Too much effort for such a small problem, I guess.
I've seen some spambots to, but they will eventually get banned.

Spambots are annoying, but it will be banned soon enough.

It's a good idea, but as SuF said, to much effort for such a minor problem.

I think that I misunderstood the original suggestion.
I just feel like mods should be more harsh with these offences.

Yes; this would definitely involve too many resources to implement.

It's not that much of a problem, only seen one or two people do it the last few days. And I just reported them and they were gone even before my report got dealt with.

The last time that I dealt with someone posting drivebys I was messaged, after he had posted 20 posts that he had been infracted. He got another 20 out before he was banned. Now I tried to post under each one, but what are the chances someone clicked on one of those?

I just think that they should be more strict.

Agreed, it's easy to detect who's a spam bot, and who's a legitimate member. It doesn't take that much time dealing with them.

If they post an advertising thread more than once I just assume they are an ad bot and ban them. :/

Yeah, you're exactly right. We're just trying to find a way to automatically prevent bots from posting adverts in the first place, however like said before I think reporting and let a mod get to it is the best choice. There aren't that many advertising threads around.

    Problem isn't that large atm.
I think that if someone sees an advertiser, that they just report the thread and be done with it.
    Let the mods ban them.

Not worth it, denied. And any mod with a brain can powerban those accounts in a split second.
